thank goodness i didn't buy any of those books. i'd feel depressed because it's meant to be for dummies and i can't comprehend a single line. it's english but it's not english. get what i mean? so yes. then i'll feel angry because i just got conned of 30plus bucks to buy a stupid book that isn't doing what it's supposed to.

of course, that's why google exists. but sometimes even in google, i can't find something that explains it in yin-speak. so that sucks. in the meantime, the tech guys in the office have to bear and be patient with an excel-idiot like me. i've already asked for a refresher course on 'vlookup' like 5 times.

on the upside, i have found the wonders of desktop tower defence and realised how much i miss playing that on warcraft.

Неплохая реализация "пустынной" Tower Defence. Ваша цель - не дать врагам разрушить командный центр в пустыне. Вас будут атаковать грузовики, солдаты и БТРы. Особенно осторожно следите за солдатами - как известно, пехоте дороги не нужны.

Управление:

Перемещаться по карте можно с помощью "стрелок" или кликая на нужном месте правой кнопкой мыши.

В правом нижнем углу присутствует панель, с помощью которой можно строить и улучшать свое вооружение. Первая вкладка - строительство, вторая - улучшения.

Τα tower defence είναι απλά flash παιχνίδια που εξελίσσονται σε μια πιστά με διαδρόμους συνήθως όπου εσύ πρέπει στις άκρες και με αρκετή σκέψη να τοποθετήσεις πύργους για άμυνα από τους εχθρούς που θέλουν να διασχίσουν την πίστα. Είναι ιδιαίτερα εθιστικά και ορισμένα αρκετά δύσκολα.

A tower defence game with multiple maps and varying amounts of waves. You can upgrade your towers (mages) to make them specialists (give them special attacks) or generalists (make them stronger). You get skill points for completing maps which you then use to upgrade your units/make them cheaper. A good way to waste about 6 hours :D

A tower defence game with a twist - keep the evil ants from stealing piece of your pie! Use cannons to stop those pesky insects from nicking your picnic! I like the fact that the ants roam randomly across the map and that there are so many types of upgrades for your cannons.

Maggiormente, rispetto altri giochi del suo genere, bisogna centellinare le proprie risorse, in quanto la piattaforma di gioco rimane invariata tra un livello e l'altro, cambia solo il percorso dei nemici, di conseguenza spesso e volentieri le nostre difese, posizionate nei livelli precedenti, rimangono sul nuovo tracciato consentendo ai nemici di lesionare fino alla distruzione la nostra torre difensiva. Per ovviare a tutto cio' si ha la possibilita' di muovere le torri pagando 5 crediti per casella, che potrebbe sembrare poco, ma giocando vi accorgerete che i crediti non bastano mai, per l'elevato prezzo dei molti upgrade che si hanno a disposizione per ogni torre difensiva.
