Oops, I forgot about the fact that the DF release was yesterday, so I didn’t make a prediction

Oops, I forgot about the fact that the DF release was yesterday, so I didn't make a prediction post. Sorry! Anyway, moving on...

Stocking the Shelves (Nythera's Quest)

Nythera, the crazy apprentice of Warlic who is literally ready to kill Warlic for his secrets, is back in Dragonfable. She is now right beside Warlic in Warlic's zone. and has a quest to offer. You have to get some ingrediants for her to give to Warlic from the magical forest that is in no way spooky. As it turns out, half of the forest is magical, and the other half haunted. The quest includes many monsters that haven't been used for a while and also has some exploration for finding the plants in it. In between the crossing of the magical/haunted area, there is a DA-only "shop" that actually gives away some fire weapons for free. There are many levels of these weapons in the shop. There are also some miscellaneous items in the quest that when pick up, will give bonus gold/exp.

Review: For such a small quest, I have to say I loved it. They finally started using those monsters that had been abused. There were even a few in here I'd forgotten about until I saw them in this quest. There is lots of exploration, which is slowly making up for the lack of it in other quests. You collect the ingredients alchemy-style, meaning you just pick them up while exploring. I regret that the enemies aren't a bit more challenging then they were. The DA-only weapons look uber-awesome and the level 40 one does the same damage as Sierlex from Galanoth's scavenger hunt, plus they're FREE! A free weapon you can get without having to farm for it! I recommend you to pick one up. They're also going to be useful for lower level players, as they come in many different level varieties. Overall, I say this was a great quest from AE. Score: 9.0/10 Point subtracted due to the easy difficulty of the quest.

Overall Score: 8.5/10 .5 retracted due to the size of the release. Just .5 though because there are also a ton of weapons included in the release.

In other news, I'll be doing a Necromancer analysis tomorrow or (possibly) later today.

I love Jennifer Long but there is one thing I hate about her, her sermons usually end up being spot

I love Jennifer Long but there is one thing I hate about her, her sermons usually end up being spot on... Her sermon on Monday, all about how God will surprise us... What happened today at Prague, God totally surprised me...

Tonight was the first worship service for Quest (our Wed night program at the church) with its new order and format. I was really frazzled as I was driving to Prague today, I was expecting everything to fall apart tonight. Earlier this week we had a number of concerns come in from various individuals about how the schedule for the evening would work out with choir and hand bell practice. I was nervous about leading worship on guitar for the first time... ever... And I was just nervous in general about how things would turn out...

Well, God is full of surprises... Things turned out better than I could have imagined. I didn't screw up playing, and actually got a lot of compliments from the children, youth, and adults afterwards. My two youth who helped lead singing did great. The service flowed so smoothly AND we were totally out of there 5 mintues before 7pm! Everything just fell perfectly into place. I know my nerves were a lot better by the time worship started because we have also started offering communion every Wed at 5:45 (right before the meal) in the Youth Chapel. So, I had communion before eating and that really helped to center me and begin to get me focused on worship and my lesson. It was a very peaceful time for me. I was surprised by that. I'm also very excited about that because I get the opportunity to take communion on Wed each week and I think that will be my time to let go of any nerves, concerns, and distractions that I may have before worship and just focus on God and what God is wanting to do through me that night, either through the worship service or my lesson with the youth afterwards...

Perhaps the biggest surprise, though, came on my drive back to Oklahoma City. I've been stressing out a little the last week or so about whether I could handle being a full time student, a Wesley Foundation Intern, and the youth director at Prague. I realized that today I worked as the Wesley Foundation Inter (Wed at the Wesley), I was a student (Hebrew class), and I was a youth director (Prague FUMC) and the world didn't fall apart, I didn't feel absolutely overwhelmed, and more importantly, I was at peace with being in all three roles. It felt like God was saying that I'm still suppose to be at Prague, my calling right now is to that church and to those youth. Yeah, there are going to be certain adults in the church that I will butt heads with over my ministry, but my ministry isn't to them, its to my youth who still love me, still want to learn, and want to serve the church and community. It was like a spark was reborn inside of me tonight, my passion for youth started to bubble again. I know that youth ministry is not what I'm called to do the rest of my life but it is what I am called to at this point and time, and more specifically, I'm called to do youth ministry in Prague. It isn't easy and I don't think God intended it to be.

In worship tonight I did a little devotional over the passage in Matthew where Jesus calls Peter to walk on water. I mentioned that when we do new things we have to take a step of faith because we are walking into the unknown but even though we may not know where we go or where we end up, we know that even if we fall, even if we end up somewhere we didn't want to end, God will be there to catch us if we fall, just like Jesus caught Peter as he began to sink, and guide us on the right path. It didn't click until I was on my way back to Oklahoma City, that this applies to me as well.

This year will be full of surprises. It will be full of new things. It will require me to take a step of faith into unknown territories but... I know it is going to be okay. As cliche as that sounds, I needed to not only say that to myself but to believe it. Tonight I did. Things may not go the way I want it at Prague or at school or as an intern, but I know that it will be okay. I know that God will be with me, I know that God will be there to catch me if I fall, I know that things are going to be okay.

This year will be full of surprises... And it's going to be okay...

(PS I really don't hate that Jennifer's sermons are spot on, it is just a little annoying at times :-) Love you Jennifer!)

Laughter fills the air. The world stops spinning for a moment to examine its source and finding a small child in its realm, it falls for a moment, which only causes the child to screech with excitement, bolting it back into motion.

Falling over slightly, with no cares in the world. Who would have thought a smile could have ended this place?

Sweet utter bliss to be replaced by a spasm of unknowing void, only to be thought of as the end of days to which no one such mankind can fight no matter how hard it tries to win.

Winning brings no glory to a place where monsters roam and only the smallest, frailest creatures know the truth.

So the child laughs, with good reason, for if he cannot laugh at the complexity of it all, he will surely fail in his quest.

I just came across a recent SharePoint Backup / Recovery Solutions blog post by Babar Batla, Princip

I just came across a recent SharePoint Backup / Recovery Solutions blog post by Babar Batla, Principal Solutions Specialist for Microsoft. In his list, Babar has both Microsoft Data Protection Manager 2007 and Quest Recovery Manager for SharePoint (and that's the product I am working on). So do these products compete? Not really, they can actually complement each other! So, when do you use which?

With a recent release of Recovery Manager 2.2 we enhanced it to read and restore data from snapshots made with DPM as well as few other backup formats (see our web site for details). Adding this on top of DPM you can use the same snapshots in more SharePoint restoration scenarios:

Granular restore with DPM is only possible for documents and sites. Recovery Manager adds restore of any SharePoint objects, from a list item or document up to a site collection (and everything in between!) - all from the backups you already have with DPM.

Recovery Manager also gives more flexibility when the original server farm is unavailable: you can restore SharePoint data to an alternative SharePoint location or even a file share.

In addition, organizations where backup operations are centralized can benefit from using tools like Rcovery Manager and DPM together, because this allows to separate platform disaster recovery task from document and site restore, and the latter can be delegated to application specific administrators.

A new Ratchet & Clank game! ... without Clank. Check out the other side for my review of Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty.

The game starts off where Tools of Destruction left off. Clank has been kidnapped by the Zoni and it's up to Ratchet to find him and bring him home. After a run-in with some pirates and a trip to Hoolefar Island, Ratchet finds a device that will help him find the exact location of Clank. Only one problem though: the device won't work without the Fulcrum Star, a piece of Captain Darkwater's buried treasure. So Ratchet and Talwyn set off with a treasure map they found to find the Fulcrum Star.

While the game is very short, it still lives up to its predecessor with a few minor drawbacks and improvements. New to the game is the ability to throw your wrench to manipulate certain platforms (remember this as you will use it often) or to attack enemies. Missing from the previous game is the massive weapon upgrades. You also have to get used to playing the game without the help of Clank. Despite the drawbacks, I was really happy with the game considering it was only $15. Unless you really don't like the Ratchet & Clank series or you don't have a Playstation 3, I'd say go buy this game.

the devastation he, his parents, his wife + family must feel.
Lord, may my heart remain honest and painfully bear to You and those who love and care for me... that i will be acknowledge my brokenness, sincere in my repentance and confession, and fierce in adoration of You!

I finished off my first posting on this exploration into prosperity by suggesting it is worth lookin

I finished off my first posting on this exploration into prosperity by suggesting it is worth looking deeper into developing our own expectations and experiences of wealth.

The best place to start developing prosperity is to define and evaluate what it means personally for our own way we desire to live our life.

How much prosperity do you think you deserve in your life ?

This is not about defining prosperity from your parents, siblings, teachers or society in general but taking some of your own valueable time to explore and maybe discover what would make yourself feel prosperous mentally, emotionally, physically and relationally to the people and world you are connected to.

This is taking the personal route of prosperity by design and then stepping into and walking your own defined path to achieving the goals identified for the journey into prosperity.

This is a true quest that starts on the inside and once defined clearly enough stands the opportunity to show up in our life. Anything in this world we value first started in the imagination

There is no doubt in my mind that in this quest to explore deeper realms of prosperity I think I've found the foundations to our own expectations and experiences.

This foundation I believe can be found in our own personal definition and measure of value and values.

The value I place on my time, energy and efforts mentally, emotionally and physically can only be defined by me.

This to me is very important and I'm learning more that defining my own values plays a massive role in what I will experience relationally, monetarily, materially, physically, emotionally and spiritually in my life.

I can see looking back in my life my values in some areas have not been clearly defined by me and maybe I've let other people dictate the value I place on myself and my time and efforts. That can affect each area of my life but particularly where I've not been sure of my own value or self worth.

I can observe those areas where I have neglected defining value and strong values. This has lead me to not experience much prosperity in neglected areas. Conversely, in areas of my life I've clearly defined to myself my own value and values there is a deeper experience of prosperity flowing.

I know I've felt emotional rollercoasters as a result of not having defined a value for myself in some areas.
It is called giving your value away for others to decide. Not the way to let life unfold for me or anyone.

I'm actually only just realising this is such an important task and neglecting to have well defined value and values for myself is inviting rollercoaster experiences to show up in my life.

The recent posting by Cate where she explores some example of what she values in her own life is so important to starting to develop a fuller spectrum of prosperity for our own life.

So I wonder where this value defining path will lead me to next ?

What value do I see I offer in relationships and services or business I can engage in ?

If they are not well defined will I be giving my value away for others to decide and where might that lead me ?

Just what value do I see in myself and what value do you see in yourself ?

I think these questions get to the heart of how much wealth we can experience in each of our own lives.

As many MMO widows have come to find, it amazes their MMO addicts that there are things that exist outside of the game. 'WOW - the sky is really blue today!", "look at that moon" or "man, that grass is long".

These are not limited to the musings of how nature has manifested its glory - things like I've given up vacuuming and the carpet has a nice layer of dog fur that makes its once off-white glow a bit gray, the sink full of dishes that seems to continue to grow as the MMO addict piles his/her dishes and cups on top, the mountain of laundry, mail, paperwork, or other things that have gone undone while s/he is plays endless hours with their guildies. Let us not mention that life must surely go on outside of the realm of MMO - that would be blasphemy. Chores must be done (yes the backyard smells of dog shit - that is because you haven't cleaned it up after the 3 dogs in 4 days), school work needs attending to (why should homework be checked?), activities need to be attended (you went to one of the 10 games of the season - you're off the hook) - sleep is your body's way of saying "UNCLE".

Oh let's not mention the intimacies that are swept aside in favor of epic quests.

So a typical day in the life of an MMO widow (this is a weekday):

Wake up

Get the kids up and moving, ready for school

Chauffeur the little darlings to their academic pursuits

Work (I am at the moment a work-from-home widow, so work really doesn't begin or end)

Run errands that are necessary for life to function

Around 4pm start the second cycle of the day - kid activities

Head home to see if there is anything worth having for dinner

Watch as my MMO addict walks through the door from work and up the stairs

Watch as my MMO addict walks down the stairs in his "sit on the couch for a marathon" clothes

Watch as my MMO addict boots up the computer and starts the game

Life goes on around my MMO addict for the next 4-6 hours, with short (30-sec) breaks to pee or grab a drink, conversations are a minimum as I am not on Ventrilio and the headphones are firmly affixed to the ears and plugged in - volume up and chatting with the guildies

I decide that it is time for bed, head upstairs and finish my bedtime rituals

Turn on the TV to watch Leno and wait for my MMO addict to come to bed

Wake up at 2-3-4am to turn off the TV and the lights

Lather, Rinse and repeat

Any of this sounding familiar? Do you suffer from the same symptoms?

Leave me your comments and let's share sob stories!

Wow - I thought I had already hit rock bottom - but man last week really took me for a ride! The "blrrglglgl" is me making that raspberry noise while shaking my head - basically letting the depression 'cooties' go!

I had a chance to be with many old friends this weekend and it did the trick. I realized, once again, there is so much more to life.

What truly amazes me is that in June I was threatened with a life changing disease - cancer - but escaped with a chronic disease of far less magnitude. Yet only 2 months later I'm so depressed I feel like my life should end - what happens to we humans to have these swings?

I recalled saying: "I have a second chance - I'm not going to waste it." How I nearly wasted it is beyond me. My emotions last week were running so high, I let the flood gates open as I said, and I simply couldn't control what I was thinking.

This weekend away - away from all my stress, frustration, home I can't afford, etc. - is the exact thing I needed. My friends are so wonderful and just seeing them and knowing they would do anything for me, even if they haven't a clue how bad things are, is what I needed. Humans can be just as horrible as they are wonderful - we just need to seek out the wonderful.

That said, I finally got my gumption back and we DID IT. My hubby and I landed more business and we saved the house for one more month. Thank you God for believing in me even when I started not to.

It is not finished, this terrible quest we are on to correct our lives. But i know now, for sure!, that we can handle this and we WILL prevail. h this battle is FAR from over - but we WILL win it!

Thank you all for your continued support - you are all amazing and for that I'm so blessed. I'll keep you posted as I get myself pointed in the right direction again.

От Kotaku.com научихме, че е излязъл много качествен римейк на изключително популярната в миналото приключенска игра Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire. познахте - point&click quests(adventures).

Yep, Rinion and Nelle are both currently parked in the jungles, at 26. We wanted to make some progress and we certainly did with the EXP party we found - aside from a few hiccups which were lost in translation regarding a slept mob. I was a little disappointed in all truths, since all the party wanted from me was Mages Ballad and Sword Madrigal. Everyone. Instead, I'm doing that to those who want it, while overwriting the poor healers Madrigal with Spirited Etude. I hope I'm doing the right thing!

The party (just) got to the stage where we haven't even got a WHM (just a RDM/BLM), yet we are tearing up Mandragora's like crazy. Good fun!

We've been rather busy on other fronts too, farming up money for songs and ninja tools, and also getting a very important item-

Which means we can work on unlocking SMN! I do plan on leveling that job at one point, but I'm trying to focus on my BRD right now. Its hard enough trying to find the time to level poor Nelle, though I do love being logged on when I am. We were helped by a really friendly SAM/THF who put Rinion on follow, allowing us to leech his TH... It helped a lot, and eventually we got the rubies and plenty of things to sell.

On another note, can anyone make use of a Harpsichord code? I now have a spare since I was going to surprise a friend. If you can, just let me know via comment. Thanks!

Once upon a time a priest announced that Jesus, himself, was coming to church the following Sunday. How the
people turned up in large number, of course, to see him. Everyone expected Jesus to preach. But he only smiled. And everyone offered him hospitality, but he refused. He wanted to spend the night in church, he said. “How could he!” everyone thought. But the next morning, by the time the church doors were open, Jesus had already slipped away. And to their horror, the priest and the people discovered that their church had been vandalized.

Scribbled everywhere on the walls was the single word, “Beware!” No part of the church was spared; the doors and the windows, the pillars and the pulpit, the altar; even the Bible that rested on the lectern. “Beware!” Wherever the eye rested one could see the word, “Beware!” Shocking! Yet, confusing. Hauntingly terrifying! What were they supposed to be aware of? The first impulse of the people was to wipe out every trace of this defilement, this sacrilege.
The only thing that stopped them from doing it was the awareness that it was Jesus, after all, Jesus, himself, who had done this deed.

But the days went by. That mysterious word, “Beware,” began to sink into the minds of the people each time they came to church. They began to beware of the Scriptures, so they were able to profit from them without falling into bigotry. They began to beware of the Sacraments, so they were sanctified without becoming superstitious. The priest began to beware of his power over the people, so he was able to help without controlling. And everyone began to beware of religion, which leads the unwary to self-righteousness.They became law-abiding, yet compassionate to the weak; they began to beware of prayer, so it no longer stopped them from becoming self-reliant; they even began to
beware of their notions of God, so they were able to recognize God outside the narrow confines of their church. Finally, they inscribed the shocking word over the entrance of their church and as you drive past at night you can see it blazing above the church in multi-colored neon lights. The message is a simple one: Beware! Beware of power without spirituality and beware of any spirituality that does not empower. Beware. Beware. Beware.

Anonymous

My notes:

This anecdote easily lends itself to every religion worth its salt...

ARGH SLKFJVNSDT:LKSHTS:GLKSNS<KJ!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping the fact that although today is the first day of class, that the first thing that happened this morning was that I was woken up at 7:30am with a text from the pastor informing me that he had forwarded two e-mails to me this morning about a problem with our Wed. night program, is a not a bad omen for the year....

And a side note about those e-mails, I'm really ticked off that even though the schedule was e-mailed to these people more than a month ago and there have been flyers for it up around the church since last Wed, they choose to wait until today, 2 days before the new Quest starts, to bring up a problem with the schedule. This is what I get for assuming people actually read e-mails or pay attention to flyers... What's even more frustrating is someone who had told me a month ago when I was trying to put the schedule together that it wouldn't be a big deal to go to 7:05pm in worship, is now back tracking and saying she just thought it was an typographical error...

ARGHHSHSHALDSKJVNALKSDJ..... This can't be a good sign for the year....

The membership of DDD or Debonair Dogs’ Dig is considered to be a feather in the collar by the dog

The membership of DDD or Debonair Dogs’ Dig is considered to be a feather in the collar by the dogs of Kenopia. One of the important factors governing the induction of a new member is the capability of logical deduction, which we all know helps make us dogs the clever detectives that we are!

As it can be easily surmised, the membership of the DDD is everypup’s dream, including that of the young Labrador, Apollo. Now, Apollo is just minutes away from realizing his dream. He has been called for an interview. He is going to be drilled and grilled by three senior members of the DDD, who are:

A Collie

A St. Bernard

And who else but a Zinar Cutie!

Now one of the three canine interviewers, owns a juicy bone that is buried somewhere in the vicinity. They ask Apollo to figure out who owns the bone, of course, on the basis of certain clues.

Clue1:
The following statements are made:

The St. Bernard says, “I don’t have the bone.”

The Zinar Cutie says, “The bone is not with St. Bernard.”

The Collie says, “I don’t have the bone either.”

And…

Clue 2:
Apollo is told that only one of the above three statements is true, the other two are false.

Apollo needs to determine the following:

Who is speaking the truth?

Who are lying?

Who has the bone?

If Apollo is able to answer the above questions correctly, he would become an elite member of the DDD, and he would be presented with the prestigious bone-badge.

What should be Apollo’s answers to the above three questions, so that he attains his dream?

I hope this puzzle enjoys your attention.

The solution will be posted on August 28, 2008:)

Happy Digging!
