The game has been "playable" on a Mac via BootCamp. Having said that, the games release under Apple's OS shouldn't be as big as it's rival Windows, or gaming consoles.<br />

<p>Como vi que habia poco informacion sobre este juego decidi hablar un poco de él. Les recuerdo que este juego sale aproximadamente el 27 de octubre.</p>
<p>Se venderá de tres maneras distintas: El juego completo con baterías, guitarra y micrófono costará US$190 dólares, el juego con solo la guitarra costará US$99, y el juego sin nada será de US$59 para el PS3 y X360, y US$49 para el PS2 y el Wii.</p>

<p>Eu respeito <a title="Julian Eggebrecht" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_Eggebrecht" target="_blank">Julian Eggebrecht</a> e seu pessoal da <a title="Factor 5" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Factor_5" target="_blank">Factor 5</a>, não apenas pela trilogia Rogue Squadron mas também pelos clássicos Super Turrican 1 e 2 do Super NES (com músicas do pouco mencionado alemão <a title="Chris Hülsbeck" href="http://vgmdb.net/artist/1164" target="_blank">Chris Hülsbeck</a>). Porém, uma mancha em seu currículo é o controverso Lair, o jogo de PS3 que prometeu horrores e cumpriu pouco. Dizem que saiu uma <a title="Lair - Dragons and Control Pack (free)" href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2008/04/17/playstation-store-update-30/" target="_blank">atualização</a> na PlayStation Network no dia 15 de abril deste ano, quase oito meses após o lançamento, que permite jogar com as alavancas analógicas e adiciona suporte a rumble para quem tem DualShock 3. Acho que foi mais um pedido de desculpas, mesmo que tardio, do que uma tentativa de salvar o jogo, já que o estrago estava feito. Tenho curiosidade em saber se o controle realmente mudou o jogo como alguns afirmam (<a title="This might push me over the edge into the &#60;must buy PS3&#62; territory" href="http://blogs.ign.com/DugBuzz/2008/02/20/81298/" target="_blank">uns</a> mais entusiasticamente que <a title="You still can't corner precisely, but the flying was a bit easier" href="http://ps3.ign.com/articles/866/866161p1.html" target="_blank">outros</a>), mas não tenho a menor vontade de ir atrás dele novamente e baixar a tal atualização. Alguém aí já experimentou os novos controles?</p>
<p>Também fico imaginando o que a Factor 5 estaria fazendo neste momento. Boatos apontam para <a title="Factor 5 + Nintendo = Novo Kid Icarus?" href="http://hadouken.wordpress.com/2008/01/24/factor-5-nintendo-novo-kid-icarus/" target="_blank">Kid Icarus</a> para Wii, mas também já falaram de <a title="Wii ganhará nova edição de PilotWings, diz jornalista " href="http://www.gametv.com.br/story.show.chain?story.id=1991" target="_blank">Pilotwings</a> no passado. Pelo jeito, a nova aliança é mesmo de volta com a Nintendo (mas ainda tenho uma esperança infantil de que seja um novo Turrican), e o produto deve ser anunciado na <a title="E3 Media &#38; Business Summit 2008" href="http://www.e3summit08.com/" target="_blank">E3 2008</a>, que está a meros oito dias de acontecer.</p>
<p>Enquanto o evento não chega, fique com minhas impressões de Lair, de quando ele só sabia bater asas com manobras sixaxianas. Depois do "salto".</p>

<p>Quando um produtor pede para os jogadores terem a mente aberta e o manual do jogo recomenda que se “gaste algum tempo para se acostumar com os controles únicos”, algo está muito errado. No caso de Lair, estas orientações suspeitas são apenas a ponta de um iceberg tenebroso, que inclui declarações do produtor Julian Eggebrecht sobre “assombrações” atrapalhando o desenvolvimento do jogo. Mas não há desculpas: Lair é mesmo uma aberração, em grande parte por causa desses “controles únicos”.<br />
O desenvolvimento é da Factor 5, estúdio respeitado pela excelente trilogia Star Wars: Rogue Squadron nos sistemas Nintendo. Porém, agora sob a produção da Sony, parece que a equipe sofreu com prazos apertados e conceitos impostos.<br />
O jogo mescla combates aéreos e terrestres a bordo de um dragão. O mundo de fantasia medieval e o clima épico lembram O Senhor dos Anéis, a trilha sonora tem clara influência de Guerra nas Estrelas e a estrutura de jogo (dividido em missões, guiado por objetivos) é herança dos Rogue Squadrons.<br />
Para controlar sua montaria voadora, é preciso inclinar o Sixaxis para os lados. Um pequeno giro para frente no controle faz o dragão descer, e para trás faz com que ele suba. Até aí, nada de mais. Logo você se acostuma e passa pelo tutorial obrigatório. O problema é quando começam os combates e 1) você não tem um radar para saber onde estão os inimigos; 2) os indicadores na tela são muito sutis e não há uma noção clara de quando você está recebendo dano (que saudades do rumble!); 3) a câmera é controlada através das alavancas analógicas; 4) a seta que deveria indicar seu destino muitas vezes leva a lugar nenhum; 5) mover o dragão balançando o Sixaxis em meio a essa bagunça é um desafio sobre-humano; e 6) ainda nem mencionei os comandos para atacar, mirar, acelerar, frear, pousar etc. Esse pandemônio só fica pior quando o jogo não consegue diferenciar (ou mesmo reconhecer) os movimentos de turbo (uma chacoalhada para baixo) e virada de 180° (uma chacoalhada para cima).<br />
Uma opção para controlar o dragão através da alavanca analógica talvez resolvesse a confusão, mas tal opção não existe – e nada tira da minha cabeça que a Sony impôs essa configuração para os desenvolvedores, para usar Lair como vitrine para o Sixaxis e seus sensores de movimento.<br />
Os gráficos são perfeitos... nessas telas que você está vendo aqui na página. Ao vivo, a coisa muda de figura. Quedas de frames são constantes, os ambientes amplos são genéricos demais, as sombras são entrecortadas e o mip-mapping (troca de texturas de acordo com a distância do objeto) é brusco. Quando tudo está certo, o jogo roda a 30 quadros por segundo, e novamente uma jogada de marketing afeta o jogo: Lair é um dos poucos títulos que rodam em 1080p nativamente e, se a Sony permitisse o 720p como padrão, certamente veríamos Lair a suaves 60 fps.<br />
O jogo é bem-intencionado – tem um interessante sistema de medalhas que concedem upgrades, três dragões com diferentes atributos, som em 7.1, trilha sonora orquestrada e até um ranking online –, mas foi amaldiçoado... Não por fantasmas, como Eggebrecht quer nos convencer, mas por más decisões (ou imposições) de design.</p>

</strong>A Sony não economizou para fazer a trilha sonora de Lair. O compositor é o renomado John Debney, autor de trilhas para Hollywood como Sin City, A Paixão de Cristo e Fim dos Dias. A execução é da Orquestra Sinfônica de Londres. E tudo foi gravado no lendário Abey Road Studios, em Londres, que ganhou fama por ser o estúdio de gravação dos Beattles. No teste de som do jogo (Extras, Concert Hall), você pode ouvir as faixas em 48 kHz e 24-bit de som – qualidade acima do CD, ideal para quem tem um home theater.</p></blockquote>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cuando me entere de que al final iba a ser Dante quien analizara "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots" me esperaba revuelo... y no he fallado (curioso eh? xD). El análisis lleva pocos minutos online y, curiosamente casi comparto opinión en la nota puesta al título, no asi como en el análisis en si. Lo de "Y se abrió la caja" viene por comentarios como este:</p>

Tampoco señala que algunas no son cinematicas sino que secuencias creadas con el motor del juego lo cual es una ignorancia mediocre<br />

<p>ACTUALIZACIÓN: Aqui va otro-&#62; <span class="postbody">querido gameprotv esta pagina una vez mas huele a otra consola,y lo digo porque la valoracion de mg4 es patetica,logicamente si cogemos cualquier juego y empezamos a buscarle los fallos este lo tendria y esto pasa con todos los juegos,este juego debe y tiene que ser un referente para todos los programadores de juegos de lo que es un juego de nueva generacion en todos los aspectos y tomar buena nota de las sensaciones que puede transmitir una obra maestra como es esta ya que esto hasta el dia de hoy lo han conseguido muy pocos juegos de esta consola,por eso pienso que la nota es lo de menos lo que me parece malevolo son los comentarios que no pintan nada por eso no puntuo mg4 y lo catalogo simplemente de obra maestra y añado que a vosotros os doy un 0 ya que podeis llegar a confundir a cualquier jugon que no sabria si comprarse un juego que es imprescindible</span></p></blockquote>
<p>Siendo sincero, me los esperaba más fuertes aunque este no se queda cortito, somos mediocres y sin originalidad para darle un nombre al portal (Este chico sabe que hay mas Gamepros por el mundo? xD). Luego otros comparando directamente el análisis con otro hecho por Dante, el Ninja Gaiden, el cual lleva la nota más alta que MGS4... si las cosas hubieran sido a la inversa, es decir, si me hubiera tocado a mi analizar los dos, el Ninja Gaiden tendría menor nota que Metal Gear por una sencilla razón, y es que aun gustandome los juegos de mamporros con historia (nada de Tekkens ni similares) el juego de Snake me llama muchisimo más y eso creo que es lo que le ha pasado a Dante, que aunque los dos le gustan, uno tira más que otro y creo que se define en una frase del análisis: "mismo planteamiento que los anteriores" (no era con esas palabras pero vamos... xD) y ahora yo digo...¿Eso es malo?, es como querer decir que los Marios no son sangrientos xD.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After an experiment in podcasting and the unfortunate demise of my PC, <a title="Consoleation" href="http://consoleation.wordpress.com" target="_blank">Consoleation</a> is back online and will be updated regularly. It's been a bit of a process getting things back in order, and my duties at <a title="GamePlasma" href="http://www.gameplasma.com" target="_blank">GamePlasma</a> have kept me busy... but I miss posting blogs, which are really the best way for me to express my opinions and views in a completely raw format.</p>
<p>As for what's going on in terms of gaming, I am the proud owner of a new Nintendo DS... and the timing couldn't be more perfect with the impending release of <strong><em>Final Fantasy IV</em></strong> due later this month and with the recent announcement of a port of <em><strong>Chrono Trigger</strong></em> sometime early next year. Honestly, I'm having more fun with the DS than I did with the PSP; you have to wonder if the singular focus on video gaming is what drives the little machine.</p>
<p>I'm working my way through <em><strong>Trauma Center 2</strong></em> and will be working on a review early this week. Other than that, I've been playing <em><strong>Space Invaders Extreme</strong></em> and <em><strong>Arkanoid DS</strong></em> a lot lately... as well as (re)playing through both <em><strong>Castlevania</strong></em> offerings on the DS.</p>
<p>On the PS3, I just recently finished up <em><strong>Metal Gear Solid 4</strong></em> and loved it. Say what you will about the lengthy cutscenes and long-winded story... but I ate it up. It's a visual tour-de-force and is to the Metal Gear franchise what <em><strong>Kingdom Hearts</strong></em> and <em><strong>Super Smash Bros.</strong></em> are for <strong>Square-Enix</strong> and <strong>Nintendo</strong>: fan service to the hilt. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on <em><strong>Soul Calibur IV</strong></em> towards the end of the month, and then <em><strong>Madden NFL 09</strong></em> hits in August... and, although I suck at it, I'm a sucker for playing the game every year.</p>

<p>Este juego de peleas que combinará a estos dos mundos (videojuegos y cómics) saldrá a la venta este año para <strong>PlayStation 3 y Xbox 360</strong>.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Sorry I've been delaying my posts so much. Summer vacation's barely been a vacation, and after lying around at home for several weeks and avoiding writing I came back to find work and no <em>time</em> for writing. Thankfully, I'm on top of things again, and in an environment that makes me <em>want</em> to write about games once more. Fancy that, eh? My immediate surroundings dictate my work ethic. I probably need to get a job immediately after graduating, else I fear my portfolio work and blogwriting might go down the drain. I need a gaming environment. Thank God, I'm back.</p>
<p>A while ago, months, I had been talking to my housemate and we started joking as I popped Uncharted into the Playstation 3, "What if PS3 games needed various disks? I mean, what would you fill up Blu-Ray disks with?" He mentioned textures having textures, and I laughed and replied that each molecule would be modeled in order to ensure the maximum possible true-to-life texture. At that, he mused, "It would be tight if developers could set up the code for molecules and how they behave inside a texture."</p>
<p>As he said this, I suddenly remembered. <a title="4D Technology" href="http://www.psu.com/4D-Graphics--A-reality-only-for-PlayStation-3-Feature--a1063-p0.php" target="_blank">They already have</a>.</p>
<p>Read that article. Don't just go past it and keep reading what I wrote. Just look at the pictures and videos if you want, but <em>go to that site</em>.</p>
<p>You did it? Good.</p>
<p>4D technology is essentially the use of algorithms to dictate the behavior of each pixel in a texture, affected by time and forces around the particle as if it were a regular bit of matter.</p>
<p>The amazing thing behind 4D technology which is slowly starting to appear in more and more PS3 games (mentioned in the article are Afrika and <a title="Killzone 2 Gameplay" href="http://www.gamesradar.com/gb/ps3/game/movies/index.jsp?releaseId=20061114121621749053" target="_blank">Killzone 2</a>) is the way the algorithms programmed into the world allow for minimized use of textures, and yet manage visuals that far exceed most anything games have come up with so far.</p>
<p>That's great when you're doing things in High-Definition, where a low-res texture is going to look like utter crap. And if you want to fit thousands upon thousands of gorgeous upscale textures on a single Blu-Ray disc</p>
<p>The reason I've mostly used PS3 terminology is because 4D is simply not possible for the Xbox 360 and the Wii. They don't have the power to parallel process all those behaviors. Without the core processor, there's no way for a console to calculate the renders. So I once again wave my PS3 flag, and everyone continues to think I am a fanboy.</p>
<p>I really wish I could find positive things to say about other consoles for that very reason. But what do I do?</p>
<p>Anyway, we won't see the use of 4D to its full potential just yet, but we will start to see games incorporating it rather soon. When this article came out, Killzone 2 was still heavy in development. Nowadays it's scheduled for next year's Q1 release (What? What happened to later this year? Our dear Delaystation 3) and who knows when Afrika will be released. Sometime next year.</p>
<p>Still, be on the lookout for this rising technology and its negative effects: soon, texture artists will not be as needed anymore, or their function will change. Get ready to no longer seek to make the greatest upscale texture possible but the most condensed, quality texture in the minimum amount of space. Be prepared to see this lose people jobs and create ones for new skillsets.</p>

<p>Eric Lempel updated the status of Home and the PSN Video Store in a recent interview with <a href="http://next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&#38;task=view&#38;id=11216&#38;Itemid=2">next-gen.biz</a>. Home is currently on schedule for a Fall release. This should be music to quite a few ears out there. He accompanied this statement with the promise that the open beta will be "robust." Pretty much, expect to see Home unleashed in a highly functional state. Home Open Beta = GMail Beta, for lack of better words. Eric also states that the video store will be coming this Summer as previously reported.<!--more--></p>
<p>With E3 only 9 days away, expect to hear more info leading up to the event and at E3. With the recent release of 2.40 and the promise of big surprises to come at E3, this should be another good year for Sony. Be sure to visit the site frequently during E3 for up to the minute information from Sev1512 and myself from E3 and reported by everyone here at Playsation Lifestyle. I'm sure none of us can wait to see what Sony has up its sleeve.</p>

<p>As some of you may know, Capcom has stated that trophy support will not be added to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD and Devil May Cry 4. I'm disappointed, but there is a silver lining in the cloud. Capcom has announced that <a href="http://http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/919275/Trophies_support?sdb=1">trophy support </a>has been added to the deliverable requirements in their contract with Sony. So you can definitely expect to see trophies in Capcom games that are going to see later releases; possibly even in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. That is not guaranteed at this time.<!--more--></p>
<p>With Capcom announcing this information, it makes you wonder what the other developers are going to do. Will Sony renegotiate with them and have trophy support required in all upcoming games as well? I would certainly hope so. Trophy support and in-game functionality is something that gamers want and would behoove both Sony and the developers to deliver. The spike in the sales of Super Stardust HD is proof that trophies add value to games. Though I'm a long time SSHD fan, I must admit the trophy quest forced me to play modes that I had previously ignored.</p>
<p>Do you think that Sony should require trophy support and in-game features from all developers? Why or why not?</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As many of you know, the first article on My Take/System Attic was unprofessional and sloppy and had a very "thrown together" feel to it. (And it was less than a month ago. How things change. Or do they?) In that article, the first episode of the new Playstation 3 series Qore was basically slammed, and well, rightfully so. The bang for the buck just wasn't there. It also seemed a bit thrown together, and although it may seem hypocritical to criticize that due to the aforementioned unprofessional nature of our first article, our article was free. I mention this because the host of Qore, Veronica Belmont, commented on the article in defense of her show, and I feel the need to clarify that her comment in no way affected the objectivity of this review. In fact, if anything, it may have caused a harsher judgment in an effort to prove credibility.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter" src="http://images.google.com/url?q=http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/10381/491706.jpg&#38;usg=AFQjCNHSMxLqpL3TbN1RRLmHfwXs60CynQ" alt="" /></p>
<p>Now, that's out of the way, so here we go.</p>
<p>Right from the get-go in episode two, there's an obvious increase in the amount of work put in. The biggest thing to notice is that in three of the four features, Belmont is actually present for more than just the introduction. This adds a whole new degree of entertainment to the equation. Belmont is the anchor of the whole show, and should be involved in as many aspects as possible. Game programmers and producers deserve respect for what they do, but let's face it, they're boring. The presence of anyone else while these guys drone on is an improvement, but Belmont, with her wit and liveliness, keeps attention from drifting during the segments. In the Resistance 2 and Silent Hill: Homecoming features, she is able to entertain us with her very human approach to the interviews, while not taking away from the information presented by the interviewees.</p>
<p>In the R2 feature, there's a segment where Belmont asks to try on a mocap suit that you can't help but smile at. In the Silent Hill feature, she has to watch a suspenseful demo of the game while openly admitting to being a "wuss". While this segment could have gone a little more in depth with the shots of the game itself, her reactions, especially the last one, appear to be very genuine and are also worth a smile, maybe even a little giggle.</p>
<p>The Naruto and Madden 09 features weren't quite as in-depth and interesting, but they were third and fourth listed in the menu probably for that reason. The downloads were all up and running this time and started with no trouble at all, as apposed to being completely unusable in the first episode. (Granted, I got there after it had been out for 10 days.) The ads between each segment are puzzling considering that the episodes aren't free, but they are skippable after the first 10 seconds or so.</p>
<p>If you still think $2.99 is overkill, consider this. Your average magazine is going to cost you anywhere from $1.50 to $3 at the newsstand and around $12 to $24 annually. This is video. This is interactive. This gives you free dowloads on top of what you get in the video itself. There are hidden features to find. And how many magazines do you know that have a hot, charismatic host? This is worth what you pay for, especially if you can afford the year subscription, which saves you about 12 bones plus the free download of Calling All Cars which would set you back $9.99 normally.</p>
<p>The first episode should have been free. It wasn't worth the money, but it did give you a vague idea of what you were in for. This episode showed improvement, and there's a lot of potential in this media form. We can only hope that the effort to realize that potential doesn't waver, but just like anything new, it all depends on how much interest the product generates, and how willing the creators are to work at generating more.</p>
<p>That really wasn't very harsh at all. Well, uh, 1.7 GB is too much hard drive space! There, take that.</p>

<p>The good thing is, that I have emailed, Dylan Cuthbert and his reply, was very similar in terms of greeting, and regards.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">La PlaySation 3 sigue perdiendo ventas tras el fuerte impulso que le supuso la llegada de la cuarta entrega de la Saga de Metal Gear en Japón. Resulta ser ya la cuarta en ventas y a este paso parece que llegará pronto al final de la cola otra vez :S . <!--more-->Esperemos que Sony ponga solución pronto a esto y que la Ps3 se recupere y así se reincorpore a la lucha lo antes posible :).</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Por otra parte, a la portátil de la compañía, la PSP, le va genial y esta arrasando en Japón, lidera la lista de ventas del mercado Nipón. Al menos una buena noticia para Sony por parte de sus sistemas actualmente ¿no? :P .</p>

<p>See, the game takes place in a post-apocalyptic New York City, after a symbiote invasion pretty much wrecked the city. Spider-Man decides he's going to go <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1563895641?ie=UTF8&#38;tag=pretheactbu09-20&#38;linkCode=as2&#38;camp=1789&#38;creative=9325&#38;creativeASIN=1563895641">No Man's Land</a> on everybody's ass and save the city.</p>
<p>Now, the developers of this game had been working on this new combat system for awhile, and when they were given the chance to use it on Spider-Man, they jumped at it. In previous Spider-Man games, webswinging and fighting have pretty much been two separate things - sometimes with the developers going as far as having webswinging challenges and fighting challenges, essentially separating the two. The developers of <em>Web of Shadows</em> have been working hard at making the two run together fluidly. Fighting can be taken from the ground to the walls - I've seen footage of villains being kicked fifty to sixty yards in the air and slammed into skyscrapers. This new edge they seem to be giving Spidey is either going to be hackneyed or badass, and I'd bet on the latter.</p>
<p>Apparently, one can also switch from the classic red and blue to the white suit at any time during the game. That should be cool, and add to that supposed "edge."</p>
<p>Actually, when I say they're giving an "edge" to Spidey, I actually mean a theoretical edge. The only one that can give an actual edge to Spidey in this game is you, dear reader. You decide whether or not those "morals" that are supposed to have been instilled in you by your dear Uncle Ben are going to come in handy after everything you know and love has been taken from you. Apparently, your decisions also influence gameplay. You can choose to aid people like Luke Cage or The Vulture. Then again, they said the same thing about <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OPPR22?ie=UTF8&#38;tag=pretheactbu09-20&#38;linkCode=as2&#38;camp=1789&#38;creative=9325&#38;creativeASIN=B000OPPR22">Marvel Ultimate Alliance </a><img style="border:none !important;margin:0 !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=pretheactbu09-20&#38;l=as2&#38;o=1&#38;a=B000OPPR22" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" />and that didn't change the gameplay at all - all it really did was make me pissed off at the backasswards logic they used to make a game with a solid ending leave a bad taste in my mouth.</p>
<p>But, that's beside the point. The point is, I am psyched for <em>Spider-Man; Web of Shadows</em>. And you should be too.</p>

<p>Por lo menos en Estados Unidos un estudio revela que el 87% de los dueños de un PS3, ven peliculas en Blu-ray, esto quiere decir que por cada 10 PlaySation 3 vendidos, casi 9 de ellos compraran o rentaran una pelicula en Blu-ray lo que habla de la importancia del PS3 para Sony en la introduccion de su formato.</p>
<p>En lo personal, compre la consola el dia que salio y a la fecha solo eh jugado un par de juegos, lo que en lo personal representa que la consola el 70% la eh usado para ver peliculas en Blu-ray llegando a una media de 100 peliculas actualmente contra 6 titulos de PS3.</p>

<p>Habra que esperar, los especialistas saben que seria un hit y ventas aseguradas, veremos en que termina la tercera parte de Diablo y si solo se queda en PC o nosotros los videojugadores consoleros.</p>
