Toamna aceasta, trupa americana THIEVERY CORPORATION va concerta pentru prima data in Romania in formula "completa": 13 muzicieni pe aceiasi scena, intr-un super show live! Citeste restul aici. Dar concertul asta de ce nu are afish ? s-au daca are e promovat ca pula.

It's been a real crazy couple of days. I got xbox live. Call of Duty 2, 3, and Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. I plan on getting Call of Duty 4 next week, but I hear the multiplayers are so crammed that everybody lags one way or another. I've been doing pretty good lately...I wouldn't call myself pro or anything, but definitely not a poor shot. My handle is d4rkcrims0n. Feel free to add me!

My little brother was opposed to aquiring the games mentioned above, until he saw me playing them...now all of a sudden, he's hopping onto my account, attempting to pwn the n00bs (as he says it, being a World of Warcraft user). I'm glad he's interested in something other than w0w, i'm glad we can actually spend time together. I think out of my wife's family, i'm closest to him. -My father in law second.

The money situation right now is getting really horrid. Our bank account is nine dollars overdraft and we wont be getting paid until the 15th. We don't have any money for soda or smokes, but I know we'll make it through somehow. The whole situation was my fault, having bought my wife a new Nintendo DS with Harvest Moon. She loves it, but it's something I should have thought through a little more carefully before purchasing. I think i'm going to call my parents for a loan, but I don't know if I would get it.

Wrote a new song the other day, no lyrics yet...but just an instrumental. Something to make me think of Summer once the Winter months set in. It's already getting cold. Stupid Iowa.

I had a really weird dream last night. I'm not the type of person who tries to interperet dreams or anything, but this dream was fucking weird as hell. I was being chased by a skunk! I remember running as fast as I could, looking behind me every now and then to see how close he was, but this fucking skunk kept catching up. Bear in mind this wasn't a giant skunk, it was normal size if that means anything. Anyways, I grew tired of running, thinking like I was in Call of Duty, I jumped up in the air as the skunk ran past me...but as soon as I hit the ground, he stopped running...and shot me with his stink spray. I woke up rather puzzled. What the fuck was that about?

Probably too much spicy food before bed. Well, that's all for now...more coming shortly.

When it comes to fashion and clothing, I prefer to buy and wear those that make me feel comfortable. It's fine with me if I'm not seen by people as a trendy gal. I choose to wear clothes that define me and not by what's latest in the market. The same in choosing with sunglasses. I always go for "comfort over style". I use sun visors that can truly protect my eyes from harmful radiations of the sun's rays especially when I'm at the beach! I don't want to spoil the fun because of my uncomfy accessories! I admire the latest fashion updates but I do not really comprise with it. Today's hot eye wear is the oversized square type. This style is very popular now and almost all of my friends have and wear it. My sister has it also. It looks good at her because we have different face shape. If she'll wear mine she looks really funny! In choosing for eyewear people should consider the shape of their face for them not to look awkward. I remember during my college days when a good-looking guy was wearing a sunglass that didn't fit him! My friends who had a crush on him were really laughing and were turned off! I love to see women who wear cat eye designs. This eyeglass is perfect for those have oozing self confidence and are trendy. I like to see a friend of mine when she's wearing this. She has white complexion and it looks perfect and great in her!

Best Tip: Know the shape of your face first before you decide on which stuffs to buy.

Jack Oblivion doesn't play the states much. In fact he is almost exclusively on tour in Europe being that he's huuuuuuge there. Springfield was lucky enough to have him grace our town with a show. And Blondie was awesome enough to nab a TON of video.

After a particularly long morning at school (ft. a maths test on quadratic functions that was a billion times easier than the review sheet we'd been given), I shoved the rest of my sandwich in my mouth just as the bell rang to signify the end of lunch. Announcements started being...announced...over the PA system as I made my way to my Yearbook class. All of a sudden, I heard my name: I had been summoned to the office. I had no choice but to retrace my steps and turn myself in to the secretaries.

I waited apprehensively while Angela (one of the office-ladies) handed out late slips to the dozens of students who had been too busy smoking in the woods or whatever they do in there to come back right away. When it was my turn, she looked up at me and said with a smile that could be taken as one of cleverly-disguised malintent, "Danielle Topaz, did you lose something?"

My jaw dropped. Could it be? Surely not...

Angela disappeared for a moment to rummage behind the office counter.

And there it was.

My wallet.

With a few more scars and scratches than I remembered, perhaps, but it's not what's on the outside. It's what's inside that counts. And as I counted up the inside, I realised that Wallet had managed to remain internally unchanged by its escapade. Everything was there--debit card, credit card, library card, old train tickets, and even the cash. I hugged it tightly to my chest and trotted off to class. On the way there, Wallet proceeded to tell me that it was not, in fact, its plan to get lost, and that I had been the guilty one for leaving it on the bus. Turns out it had been discovered by a friendly man who had taken good care of it before returning it to the school on account of my student card being in there.

Wallet seemed a bit reproachful but, after I made profuse promises to never do that again, was glad to see me all the same. And boy, was I glad to see it.

“Let Us Pray That Men Live in Peace”
CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy, JULY 29, 2007 JULY 29, 2007

"Let Us Pray That Men Live in Peace"

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy, JULY 29, 2007 JULY 29, 2007 (Zenit.org).- Here is a translation of the address Benedict XVI delivered today before reciting the midday Angelus in the courtyard of the papal summer residence at Castel Gandolfo.

* * *

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

Arriving the other day from Lorenzago di Cadore, I am happy to find myself again here at Castel Gandolfo, in the familiar environment of this beautiful little town, where I plan to stay, if it pleases God, for the rest of the summer. I feel the strong desire to thank the Lord once again for having been able to spend tranquil days in the mountains of Cadore and I am grateful to all those who efficiently organized my stay there and watched over it with care.

With equal affection I would like to greet and express my grateful sentiments to you, dear pilgrims, and above all to you, dear citizens of Castel Gandolfo, who have welcomed me with your usual cordiality and have always accompanied me with discretion during the my sojourns with you.

Last Sunday, recalling the Note published 90 years ago on August 1 by Pope Benedict XV directed at the warring countries of the First World War, I reflected on the theme of peace. Now a new occasion invites me to reflect on another important question connected to this theme. This very day, in fact, is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the IAEA, the International Atomic Energy Agency, which was instituted with the mandate to "seek to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy to peace, health, and prosperity throughout the world" (IAEA "Statute," No. II).

The Holy See, fully approving of the IAEA's goal, has been a member since the organization's foundation and continues to support its activity. The epochal changes of the last 50 years are evidence of how, in the difficult crossroads at which humanity finds itself, the commitment to encourage the nonproliferation of nuclear arms, to promote a progressive and agreed-upon nuclear disarmament, and to favor the peaceful and safe use of nuclear technology for authentic development -- respectful of the environment and always attentive to the most disadvantaged populations -- is always relevant and urgent.

For this reason I ardently hope for the success of the efforts of those who work to pursue the three objectives with determination and the intention to make things such that "the resources which would be saved could then be employed in projects of development capable of benefiting all their people, especially the poor." ("Message for the World Day of Peace 2006," No. 13).

It is well, in fact, to re-emphasize on this occasion how in the place of "the arms race there must be substituted a common effort to mobilize resources toward objectives of moral, cultural and economic development, 'redefining the priorities and hierarchies of values'" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, No. 2438).

We again entrust to the intercession of Mary Most Holy our prayer for peace, in particular that scientific and technological knowledge be used with a sense of responsibility and for the common good, in complete respect for international law. Let us pray that men live in peace and all feel as brothers, sons of one Father: God.

[Translation by ZENIT]

[The Holy Father made the following remarks after the Angelus:]

And now a plea for the Korean hostages in Afghanistan. The practice by armed groups of manipulating innocent persons for promoting their own goals is becoming widespread.

These are grave violations of human dignity, which go against every elementary norm of civilization and rights and gravely offend the divine law. I make my plea so that the authors of such criminal acts desist from the evil done and return their victims unharmed.

[The Holy Father addressed the following words to English-speaking pilgrims:]

I extend heartfelt greetings to all the English-speaking visitors here today. In this Sunday's Gospel, the disciples see Jesus praying, and they ask him, "Lord, teach us to pray." So he teaches them the "Our Father", and in this way he draws the disciples, and all of us, into his own prayer. I encourage all of you to be faithful to prayer, and so to be united with Jesus, in his intimate relationship with the Father. Upon all of you, and upon your families and loved ones at home, I invoke God's abundant blessings.

That at times it’s very hard to describe exactly what I feel inside. Like I’m filled with stars or inside a turbulent world, letting go of time and accepting life and the many changes created for and by me.

I've learned -
It’s hard to say hello because I’m afraid to ever say goodbye. It’s hard to say I’m okay because sometimes I’m not.

I've learned -
When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that’s been opened for us.

I've learned -
In life there isn't a rewind button to fix mistakes, you can only improve yourself and learn from them.

I've learned -
Love is an adventure, it's not a decision you make… it's a feeling, a connection made between two people that will ignite your desire to live an adventure together.

I've learned -
That you cannot make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned -
That no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.

I've learned -
That it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life is what truly matters.

I've learned -
That you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned -
That you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do but to do the best you can do.

I've learned -
That you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned -
That no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

I've learned -
That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I've learned -
That it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.

I've learned -
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words because it may be the last time you’ll see them.

I've learned -
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned -
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned -
That regardless of how great a relationship is at first, the passion will fade and there better be something else to take its place or it will all come to an end.

I've learned -
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned -
That learning to forgive takes practice.

I've learned -
That there are people who love you dearly but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned -
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned -
That my “best friend”, can do anything or nothing and have the BEST time…

I've learned -
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned -
That true friendship continues to grow, IF the work is done. Same goes for true love.

I've learned -
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned -
That you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.

I've learned -
That your parents won't always be there for you, but people who aren't related to you may take care, love and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't always biological.

I've learned -
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you. Forgiving them will proof how strong your friendship is and how good of a friend you are.

I've learned -
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned -
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned -
That just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned -
That sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned -
That we don't have to change friends, if we understand that friends change.

I've learned -
That two people can look at the exact same thing and see something completely different.

I've learned -
That there are many ways of falling in love… life would be meaningless without it.

I've learned -
That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned -
That writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

I've learned -
That the paradigm we live in, is not all that is offered to us.

I've learned -
That the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned -
That although the word "love" can have many different meanings and it loses value when overly used.

I've learned -
That it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

I've learned -
That silent company is often more healing than words of advice.

I've learned -
That if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But if you focus on your loved ones, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.

I've learned -
That regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them terribly after they die.

I've learned -
That life sometimes gives you a second chance.

I've learned -
That if you want to cheer yourself up, you should try cheering someone else up.

I've learned -
That although it's hard to admit it, I'm secretly glad my parents were strict with me.

I've learned -
That if you want to do something positive for your children, try improving your marriage first.

I've learned -
That making a living is not the same thing as making a life.

I've learned -
That everything will always be ok in the end, so if everything isn't ok, then stay hopeful because it's not the end.

I've learned -
People are going to talk about you, especially when they envy you and the life you live. Let them, you affected their lives; they didn't affect yours.

I've learned -
You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to things you don't want to feel.

I've learned -
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartbreaks.

I've learned -
The greatest grieves are usually the ones we cause ourselves.

I've learned -
A friend is someone who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.

I've learned -
Life is a song ~ sing it. Life is a game ~ play it. Life is a challenge ~ meet it. Life is a dream ~ realize it. Life is a sacrifice ~ offer it. Life is love ~ enjoy it .

I've learned -
Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

I've learned -
You need to love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

I've learned -
That great loves and great achievements involve great risk.

I've learned -
Listen to a woman when she looks at you, not when she speaks to you.

I've learned -
We have too many high-sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them.

I've learned -
The only normal people are the one's you don't know very well.

I've learned -
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I've learned -
It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.

I've learned -
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

I've learned -
When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached - do not adjust the goals adjust the action steps.

I've learned -
That I still have a lot to LEARN…

In yoga, we do many heart-opening postures. This is to expose our hearts to the world and silently shout "here I am! Open and ready and able!". Of course we do so while stretching to the extremes and the idea of this is really seeping into ourselves. I have been trying to live with an open heart - but sometimes I find it so difficult. After all, what even constitutes an open heart? Does it mean that we love everyone we meet, or that we are open to all - even our enemies, or that we wear our hearts on our sleeves for the whole world to see and experience?

I think that an open heart has a different meaning for us all - and that living in that way is not easy all the time. I know at times for me, I can feel my heart retracting and my own spirit hiding in the background. And I know it is important for me to be aware when I am retracting and falling into a state of numbness - because, to me, living with an open heart means we feel everything and embrace it in the moment we feel it.

So I invite you to live with an open heart, to experience life openly right now. To welcome yourself, and others, with open arms.
