Update: Background...
Elul is the Jewish month leading up to Yom Kippur.  It is the 12th month in the Jewish Calendar. It's supposed to be a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Zeek: A Journal of Jewish Thought and Culture, of Jewcy.com describes it thusly:

"This is the time of year when all of us are seekers.  In the natural world, animals began looking for their winter homes, seeking supplies for a cold winter. In the secular world, school is back in session and political campaigns are in full swing, promising that we and the world can change if we make the right decisions, seek out the best solutions. In the religious world, the month of Elul, which literally means “search” in Aramaic, reminds us that we must search our own hearts if we want to grow as human beings.  The searching we do in the month of Elul is both inward and outward, a return to what constitutes our core ideals and values as we face the coming year."

This year it ends on September 29th (which begins the month of Tishri and the New Year; Rosh Hashana). This is also the date of Michaelmas, (also the Feast of Ss. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael or the Feast of Michael and All Angels) a 19th century Chrisitan Feast Day that never really caught on in the colonial U.S. Because it falls near the equinox, it is associated with the beginning of autumn and the shortening of days. But it's metaphor is completely refelctive of the task of Elul; to reach inward, to withdraw from the brightness of summer and seek the hallows of the soul during the advent of winter, to let the interior become quiet, seeking, reflective.

Scumpul meu Spice Flow,

Ai dovedit, în clipe de restrişte, când adevărata prietenie este pusă la încercare, că eşti vrednic de preţuirea mea, cât se poate de sinceră. Aceste rânduri s-ar vrea un răspuns la întrebarea ta, dar ce putem spune despre ceea ce, vorba lui Wittgenstein, "trebuie să se tacă"? Cert este, scumpul meu Spice Flow, că, volens nolens, suntem angrenaţi în anumite acţiuni mai generale care depăşesc puterea de înţelegere a unora, deoarece le lipseşte organul pentru sublim.

În principiu ai mare dreptate, şi nu doar în principiu - necrofilia, reală sau închipuită, este la fel ca linguşeala, reală sau închipuită. E adevărat că unii, în întunericul lor mental, confundă realul cu imaginarul, fapt care nu poate decât să ne avantaje, pe noi, Oamenii de Bine ai acestei frumoase Ţări.

Viziunea ta a "apollinismului" meu este un fundamental corectă, ca de altminteri şi caracterul solar al întregului tău comentariu. Aşa cum există un singur Soare pe cer, aşa există şi un singur Mihnea Georgescu în bloggosferă. Fireşte, marea majoritate a oamenilor sunt orbi şi nu pot să se împărtăşească din harurile fiinţiale ale Adevăratei Lumini, fapt care, repet, nu ne poate aduce decât avantaje, mai ales pe termen lung. Spun aceste adevăruri cu o modestie împăcată, dar cu conştiinţa adevăratelor Valori.

Cât despre melodie, da, ea este superbă într-adevăr. Am fost îngenuncheaţi, scumpul meu Spice Flow, de iude şi de antihrişti, sau, mai bine spus, ei au avut această impresie, evident, falsă, deoarece le suntem superiori prin Spirit, aşa cum omul este superior animalelor fără raţiune, iar Omul cel Nou, adică noi, este şi suntem superiori omului celui vechi. Dar să lăsăm această Răzbunare a Binelui în sarcina Istoriei, a cărei parte integrantă suntem prin esenţa noastră regală şi suntem chemaţi să devenim, prin manifestările noastre exterioare.

Repet, comentariul tău îmi dovedeşte, încă o dată, dacă mai era nevoie, că porţi Semnul Alegerii şi că, certamente, într-o bună zi, te vei înălţa alături de mine, la demnităţi pe care, cu siguranţă, le meriţi pe deplin. Ştiu că, în modestia ta, vei refuza cu înfiorare aceste onoruri, nevertheless, ele ţi se cuvin pentru atitudinea ta şi pentru Spiritul de care ai dat, nu o dată, dovadă.

No próximo 31 de agosto (mais precisamente ao pôr-do-sol), adentraremos o mês de Elul - que corresponde ao signo de Virgem - no calendário cabalista.

Cabe uma observação aqui: você deve saber que o Sol já entrou no signo de Virgem no último dia 22. O calendário judaico se baseia nas posições tanto do Sol quanto da Lua para marcar o início de cada mês - por isso a data ligeiramente diferente.

Como último mês antes do ano-novo, Elul é tido como um mês de introspecção. Esse é o momento de analisarmos tanto nossas atitudes passadas como nossa caminhada espiritual.Essa análise obviamente demanda uma grande dose de discernimento, senso crítico, e até uma certa frieza em sua execução. Nenhum outro período do ano é tão favorável a isso quanto o mês de Elul, que coincide com o período em que a energia divina nos é apresentada sob a formatação do signo de Virgem.

O calendário pode ser visto como um grande prisma cósmico. Quando projetamos um feixe de luz branca sobre um prisma físico, aparecem do outro lado vários feixes de cores diferentes, que nada mais são do que diferentes espectros da mesma luz branca. Podemos aplicar o mesmo princípio aos 12 signos: quando a Luz (energia divina) passa através deles, assume cores e tons diferentes, afetando a humanidade como um todo.

É ao longo desse período em que nos purificamos a fim de retornarmos à essência divina -  processo que em hebraico é chamado de teshuvá. Desse modo, ao longo dos próximos 28 dias, devemos entrar em profunda reflexão a respeito da seguinte pergunta:

O que estou fazendo para tornar esse Universo melhor - para mim e para outros seres?
