I'm going to keep this short, so this will just kind of run together, stick with me.

Speed. It wasn't just my imagination. Sites are loading faster for me, and others as well from what I've read.

Downloads. Much nicer in Chrome. I tend to save lots of photos, documents, etc. Chrome doesn't have that annoying downloads box, it simply displays d/l progress in the bottom portion of the screen.

Incognito mode. Nifty little feature for not leaving a browsing history, from what I gather. I still haven't really messed with that.

Images. Chrome seems to not like .gifs very much, not sure why. This needs to be looked at by the developers.

Plug-ins. This is the main reason I'm still using Firefox for my browsing. Right now, there aren't really any plug-ins available for Chrome(for obvious reasons). As soon as this changes, I think a lot of people will switch.

Memory. Uses much less than Firefox, unless you're one of the people with a lot of tabs open (I assume). I still haven't checked to see how much it uses with a lot of tabs open.

Themes. There are already a few themes out for it, if you look hard enough. Within hours of it's release, I had already switched to a black theme. Once Google releases themes, and adds in a theme switcher, it'll be much easier and customizable.

Address bar/search bar. I'm loving this. It's nice to be able to search, put in address, etc., all in the same space.

With that said, I also feel compelled to mention that some people have been experiencing problems. Here's what I've stumbled across from other users off the top of my head.

Some java script features on certain sites aren't working.

Others are complaining of ads being placed on certain sites that aren't there in other browsers.

Hotmail doesn't seem to work with Chrome.

Some sites working fine, Chrome having problems with others.

I'm sure other people have been experiencing other problems as well. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. This is a beta, released yesterday, so it's bound to have some bugs. Some could be conflicts relating to your PC. Some may be user error. Either way, I'd recommend checking it out, it's a small download, fast install, and free. Play with it, see what you think, don't take someone else's word for it. Personally, I'll begin to use it more once the .gif thing gets sorted out and the plug-ins I want are available.

Also, I'd like to note that people have been worried about the EULA for Chrome, specifically Section 11.

Google's Rebecca Ward, Senior Product Counsel for Google Chrome, now tells Ars Technica that the company tries to reuse these licenses as much as possible, "in order to keep things simple for our users." Ward admits that sometimes "this means that the legal terms for a specific product may include terms that don't apply well to the use of that product" and says that Google is "working quickly to remove language from Section 11 of the current Google Chrome terms of service. This change will apply retroactively to all users who have downloaded Google Chrome."

So, with that, I'll get back to messing with Chrome and see if I can find anything that disturbs me.

Crearle è veramente semplice, scegliete l'effetto che preferite da un menù a tendina, scegliete il colore di sfondo, il colore principale e cliccate su "Generate It"

Ayer vi que me habian enlazado desde Ubuntu Life y fuí a ver por que,y la verdad que me encantó lo que vi,mas que nada por que me viene de maravilla,asi que,aunque lo que pongo en el blog suele ser de mi cosecha normalmente esta vez quiero compartiros la utilidad.

El programa es Byzanz , captura sucesos y los convierte en gif,con lo que nos ahorramos hacer pesados videos y subirlos a YouTube u otros hostings.

Al igual que los grabadores de sucesos en video podemos elegir capturar el escritorio completo o solo una parte o ventana.

Para instalarlo (como esta en repositorios):

$ sudo aptitude install byzanz

Podemos utilizarlo en modo grafico añadiendolo al panel como un applet mas:

Asi es como se verá.

Para añadirlo:

Asi de fácil..No lo busqueis en aplicaciones por que no aparece,solo puede manejarse con el panel de control que os muestro en la primera foto.

Y para los que disfrutan de consola aqui teneis la forma:

-d , graba un video con la duracion indicada
-l , crear un gif que se repite continuamente
-c, grabar la posicion del cursor
-x , posicion x de la ventana (cuando se captura una porcion)
-y , posicion y de la ventana (cuando se captura una porcion)
-w , ancho de ventana (cuando se captura una porcion)
-h , altura de ventana (cuando se captura una porcion)

si no se pasan estos ultimos cuatro parametros, se hace una captura del escritorio completo.

Aqui un Ejemplo, para capturar un rectangulo de 100×100 pixeles a un fichero llamado fichero.gif:

$ byzanz-record -c -x 0 -y 0 -w 100 -h 100 -l fichero.gif

Como no me gusta poner informacion sin probarla primero instalé el programa y las capturas son de mi propio escritorio.
He encontrado problemas a la hora de hacer captura del escritorio completo.La hace bien pero luego no consigues subirla a ningun hosting por el peso a no ser que redimensiones.

Tambien es preferible capturar sin tener compiz activado,ya que no sale correcto el gif.

Esta desde los mismos repositorios de Ubuntu:
sudo apt-get install byzanz

y listo ;)

Queda en forma de applet, por lo que podemos utilizarlo al agregarlo al panel.

Le immagini GIF sono quel tipo di immagine che di solito hanno delle animazioni incluse. Se anche voi avete la necessità di creare una immagine GIF a partire da vostre foto seguite questi semplici passi.
Come prima cosa andate su www.gifninja.com. Quando arrivate su questo sito cliccate su “Create an Animated Gif”.

Adesso non vi resta che caricare le foto tramite i pulsanti “Sfoglia”.

Scegliete la velocità di cambio tra una immagine sulla opzione “Choose the animation speed of your gif”:

Una volta che avete caricato le vostre foto (massimo 5) e scelta la velocità cliccate su “Make my gif!"

They can contain up to 256 colors and they compress the file size by simply looking at the next pixel(s) in line and if they're the same, storing that information instead of storing the pixel information individually.
