Unfortunately, just plugging a BlackBerry into a PC's USB will not charge it. You need to get Window's to turn on the juice by installing the USB driver for BlackBerry.

Through Microsoft Update Catalogs (which most security firewalls allow ;-) ) you can install the Research in Motion driver update for BlackBerry Device. After installation, simply connect the BlackBerry with USB to the PC and it will happily start charging.

Step-by-Step...

1. Browse to Microsoft Update Catalog.
2. Search for: Research in Motion BlackBerry Device
3. Click on Add next to Research In Motion driver update for BlackBerry Device
4. Click view basket (upper right corner under the search button)
5. Click of the Download button.
6. Another window will open and you have to select a location to download the file to using the Browse button. Unfortunately, you can not just type in the Folder text space.
7. Remember where you saved the file, because it will have a weird name like: X86-ar_zh-tw_cs_da_de_el_en_es_fi_fr_he_hu_it_ja_ko_nl_no_pl_pt-br_ru_sv_tr_zh-cn_pt-13456806_3951c7b8446f3bd279e5f518d94b552dc1f40101.cab
8. Now unpack the downloaded file to a location on your hard drive.
9. Connect the BlackBerry via the USB to the PC that you just downloaded and unpacked the drivers to.
10. When the "New Hardware Found" wizard comes up, point it to the directory that you unpacked the files to. Follow the directions on the screen.

If all goes well you will recognize the "charging" indicator on your BlackBerry!

İlk akla gelenler Driver Genius, Driver Detective vb. driver bulucu bazı programları kullanmaktır. Ama bu yazıda anlatacağım yöntem bambaşka ve hiçbir program gerektirmiyor.

Her donanım o ürünün kimliğini belirten bir Vendor ID ile Device ID' ye sahiptir. Bu ID'leri bilmek üreticiyi bilmek demektir. Windows'da ise bu bilgileri bulmak oldukça basit.

1. Başlat > Denetim Masası > Sistem > Donanım > Aygıt Yöneticisi' ni açın.

2. Eğer tanınmamış bir driver varsa üzerinde sarı bir uyarı işareti olacaktır. Ben örnek olarak ekran kartının driverını seçiyorum.

3. Driver'ın üzerine gelip sağ tıklayın ve Özellikler 'i seçin. Açılan pencerede Ayrıntılar (Details) sekmesini tıklayın. Ve burada ilk sıradaki Device instance id 'yi seçin.

5. Device instance id 'yi seçtiyeniz eğer hemen alttaki Değer kısmında aşağıdakine benzer bir kod göreceksiniz.

6. Bu koddaki kırmızı ile gösterilen değer bize donanımın Vendor ID'sini, yeşil ile gösterilen değer ise Device ID'sini veriyor. Yani bu örnekte:

Device ID: 4173

7. Vendor ve Device ID'leri bulduktan sonra http://www.pcidatabase.com adresine giriyoruz. Burada Vendor Search ve Device Search adlı iki arama kutusu göreceğiz. Az önce bulduğumuz değerleri bu kutucuklara girip Search dediğimiz zaman ise donanımımızın modeli ve üretici firmasına ait bilgilere ulaşacağız.

Another physics game! Huzzah? Read on and find out.

This is steerwheels... a game where you take a ball, and get it somewhere. Use physics and timing and what not to do so. I suppose that this is a physics game, but not one that is run of the mill. You have a car(Two circles and a line T.T) and that is enough of a change from the swamplands of other physics games.

I suppose that this game is a little bit of a show-off because it MAKES you watch the ball roll down a hill "Realistically" and has seesaws and whatnot, but I guess that that is what every physics game does...

I was at the range today and I'd have to say that, the adjustments I made to my visual and balance on the weekend working things out have my Position Theory just about there. If nothing goes terribly wrong with my sessions, I may only have one or two left to absolutely nail down this Position Theory work.

I said I could do it in 10 Days, and I have 3 Days remaining before I'm proven right or wrong. But the revelation from last week was really big. I worked on it today and got the adjustments almost down to where I could just line up a ball and swing.

I fixed the address positioning and balance, that's for sure, and I only have slight adjustments to make with the ball and club head placements at address (you change one thing, you have to adjust everything else), and if nothing crops up to jinx the works, I might actually be done this week!!

Impact

I'll post video and analysis later on, but right now, it's Labour Day and I'm going to spend some time with my wife and kids. I'll be posting later this evening after dinner.
